Ryan D. You hit the nail on the head. In the third game at the begining, Cortana even said why she picked him. Not because he was the best, but because he was the luckiest. Bungie should release a better photo depicting what happened on Reach.

John isn’t the smartest or the strongest of the spartans which the books clearly indicate. John is only the luckyiest spartan, skilled yes but none the less he is not the fastest, the smartest, the strongest or the most accurate

Correct a majority of them died on Reach but they didn’t die in ground conflict. Team 2 took out a majority of the Covenant ground force on Reach with the loss of only one Spartan (Joshua I think). If this picture is to depict the loss of the MAC gun capacitors, than yes, potentially correct but highly exaggerated. But ultimately, Spartans maintained defense until the Covenant would glass the planet.

There are all the dead spartans because there once was over 200 of them. The majority of them died on Reach

Yeah if you read the books the spartans had the covenant decided to glass the planet because they couldn’t win the ground battle.

I don’t think this image coincides with the fall of Reach at all. In “Fall of Reach”, it goes on to say that on ground the SPARTANs had the advantage vs in space where the Covenant was cleaning house.

Why are there so many dead spartans at one spot when there is one that shows a single one soloing a large ammount of covenant? wierd….
